Litter pick up Higgens Point Parking lot, back a nd beyond Beacon Point and back. Lots of post marathon litter
Going further into the trail, we noticed it was fairly clean. BUT... Ironically there were so many cigarette butts along the way. It looked as if there was a fire that went through the forest recently (within the last 4 or 5 years anyway). So I was a little surprised at the amount of smokers who just had to light up a cigarette, and when finished put it out and leave it on the trail...
Completed litter pick up from Tony's Resreraunt to Coeur d'Alene and back. Most trash consisted of items left behind by marathon participants. Sadly dog owners have a tendency to be inconsiderate as litter bugs.
